It’s always sad to lose a loved one but more so during the holiday season when we focus on the joy of new life – Christ’s birth. So it is with our dear cousin at the passing of his wife.

Unfortunate to say that contact over the years had dwindled due to various reasons, notwithstanding the nearly 3000 mile distance between homes, but we always look back and say we should have made more time. Yet it happens far too much and for some reason we never learn from it – can’t make up now what we should have done then. Hopefully in her heavenly place she will look kindly on us and forgive us. May she ever be in the hearts of her loved ones.

    Sincere condolences,
    Rita and Art Konyves

I spent many overnights, with Anthony and Marilyn in the little apartment over the garage, when I was not much older than Chris. Marilyn made me grilled cheese sandwiches, in the round, with the crusts cut off. She was an excellent hostess.

We got to know Marilyn more over the last four years since moving here. She was lovely and will be missed. We are very sorry for the family’s loss.

I hope that someone spends the time to prepare a similarly touching tribute for me one day. I enjoyed looking at all the photos of a life filled with loved ones and happiness. Many of these photos are before my time and gave me a fuller sense of her life and family. One can tell Marilyn lived a full life. Being a family member doesn’t always guarantee acceptance, but I always felt included and welcomed into the Giandomenico home. Many good times. I am happy and honored to have known such a beautiful person.
